The AMSEC Super Brute B1500 floor safe is the ideal choice for the home, business or office.
The AMSEC B1500 is big enough for paperwork, iPods, passports, and other snatch and grab items. When the safe is properly installed, it offers great protection from fire and theft.
Once the AMSEC B1500E5 is in the floor, you can put a rug over it and you would never know it was there. It comes in a blue-gray textured charcoal body and has a flush cover plate to go over the whole safe.
The Super Brute’s new door jamb design is manufactured with built-in devices offering the ultimate protection against sledgehammer attack. The Amsec B1500 floor safe has a piston-assist door that is made with 3/4-inch solid steel plate door. This safe has an additional spring loaded relocking device, activated by a punching attack, and the lock and re-lockers are protected by a large carburized hard plate.
The door has a handle-activated locking mechanism consisting of three one-inch diameter locking bolts. Each one is drive resistant, chromed steel with a long throw. The door also has one piece of heavy duty dead bar behind the hinges to prevent removal of the door even if hinges are removed during a forced entry attempt.
This floor safe is equipped with a mechanical dial combination lock.
While floor safes offer great security being easily hidden and surrounded by concrete, these same features also make them extremely susceptible to moisture problems. Keeping papers and valuables inside zip lock bags and Tupperware help when experiencing a fire or flood, humidity will still seep inside causing mildew and corrosion. We strongly recommend using a Lockdown Silica Gel Can to absorb this moisture and keep your valuables safe. It’s a small, rechargeable unit that has a color indicator letting you know it’s full and needs to be renewed. You should open your safe (especially after initial installation) frequently to assess moisture and check the silica gel. How often the units need recharging depends on your climate and how often you are in your safe. For any questions regarding humidity and moisture, give us a call at 800-827-7534.
